I know I'm WAY behind in updating the blog, I keep thinking about doing and then get lazy, but I did want to post this little video. Lauren took her first steps while we were in Minnesota, on July 10 to be exact, while we were at the Krautkremer cabin and to Dawn's prodding. We were thrilled to say the least. During our two weeks in Minnesota, she'd occasionally take a few steps here and there, with a max probably of 4 or 5 steps. Since we returned home here to Michigan though, she's been kind of taking off. She's still not running across rooms, but she's doing about 10 steps at a time, and on occasion, she'll stand up and go herself without anyone prodding her to walk.
We're all cheering for her (Alyssa may be her greatest cheerleader) and we even bought her a new pair of shoes to celebrate. Lauren wasn't quite as excited about those new shoes though as Alyssa was, who of course couldn't understand why Lauren wasn't excited to put them on her feet!
Just wanted to share a little video of her doing her thing this morning before she headed out to day care.
