I totally remembered another Alyssa story this morning, and I had to share it. A week or two ago we went out to dinner at this very family-friendly restaurant where you get a free gourmet cupcake with every meal. We asked the waitress to put the cupcakes in a to-go box so we could eat them at home, but somehow Alyssa knew what was in the boxes and wanted to eat it there. We reassured her that we would indeed them when we got home.
So part way home in the car, I asked Alyssa what she wanted to do when we got home, expecting the answer to be something about playing downstairs or taking a bath or something. Her response "eat cupcakes" (which I had already forgotten about). Needless to say as soon as we got home, we opened up the cupcakes.Upon finishing her cupcake, she looked at me and said "More cupcake". I explained that they were all gone, and we didn't have any more. She looked at me and in a very matter of fact tone said "Get more cupcake mommy." Guess she's got Aaron's & my sweettooth!
